  • Service Technician

    MIProTechs is the premier provider of home technology, integrated control, network, and security in Southeast Michigan. We are seeking motivated, hardworking individuals to join our team of service technicians. This full-time position is ideal for someone who thrives on the cutting edge of smart technology, possesses an aptitude for device installation and maintenance, and enjoys the satisfaction of helping customers bring their dream spaces to life.


     As a MIProTechs technician, you will play a critical role in the success of our company. You are on the front lines, making our customer’s lives better via smart home automation, security, network, and entertainment technology. You are expected own our friendly, “customer-focused” attitude, always ready to answer questions, and provide expert assistance when requested.

     

    While previous home technology installation experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right individual who shows a strong technical aptitude.

    Duties & Essential Job Functions

    • Manage the jobs on your schedule by day/week.
    • Communicate well with customers and project managers.
    • Follow company processes and requirements of the job.
    • Install and pull low-voltage wire in new construction/production homes.
    • Perform final installation and setup of new devices/systems.
    • Provide ongoing device/system maintenance and support.

    What We Expect from You:

    • Knowledge of basic hand and power tools (we will tell you what tools you must provide).
    • Understanding of or willingness to learn about wiring, security alarms, access, video, audio, and network installation.
    • Central vacuum installation and maintenance expertise or a desire to learn.
    • Be on time. Take responsibility of notifying supervisor if late or absent.
    • Work hard but smart.
    • Maintain an image of professionalism in appearance and disposition.
    • Take ownership of the job from beginning to end.
    • Have a strong personal code of ethics and integrity.
    • Be engaging, friendly, and happy to provide excellent customer service.
    • Maintain a positive attitude. Never make negative comments about coworkers, salespeople, project managers, competitors, or builders in front of a customer.
    • Understand the importance of job safety and comply with Company Safety Standards.

    • Starting pay $15-$25/hour based on experience.
